Empowered in Tech becomes a Pioneers Hub Partner

We are happy to announce that our community Empowered in Tech is entering into a partnership with Pioneers Hub.

Empowered in Tech is a young community for women and other gender minorities in tech. Our goal is to empower everyone to feel welcome in the tech world, because we believe that this is a necessary condition for people to thrive and excel in their careers.
Historically, the community was born when the global Women Who Code network was shut down in early 2024. The organising team of the Berlin chapter founded Empowered in Tech because we believe the mission was not accomplished yet and we still saw the need for a community like this. But creating an organisation from scratch is not easy and we want to focus on the events and projects that matter to us. 
This is why we are so happy that we have found a new home at Pioneers Hub. With their support, we will be able to get access to new tools that help our team of volunteers to collaborate more effectively and we hope this can also unlock new types of events and projects that we could not do before for lack of financial autonomy.

What we do

We organise events in Berlin and online. We welcome software engineers, data scientists, designers, product managers and everyone else who works in tech, no matter at which stage in their career. We focus our efforts on FLINTA people (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender), but welcome anyone at our events who is curious and contributes to a welcoming environment.
We want to connect people and create a community where we support each other, learn from each other and celebrate each other's successes.

Our events and offers are open to all tech stacks, programming languages, career topics and anything else that is of interest to our community. We especially want to encourage first time speakers to step on the stage.

Where to find us

We are on Meetup where you can join our community and sign up for any new events. We also usually share them on our LinkedIn page and also plan to expand to other platforms for broader reach.

What’s next?

The support of Pioneers Hub will allow us to keep doing more efficiently, so we plan to dedicate more energy to new projects in the new year. We hope we will be able to consistently stream our in-person events online and we want to improve our online presence to allow more people to find us.
And we are also open to expanding into new cities, if the opportunity presents itself.
